Smart Array cache modules
The flash-backed write cache retains array configuration and recently written data. We clear it as part of sanitisation rather than assuming the drive wipe covered it.
Gen8 is still saleable
Older than most buyers want, but there is an active parts and lab market. We’ll still make an offer rather than treating it as scrap.
Keep chassis and blades together
A populated c7000 with interconnects is worth considerably more as a complete unit than blades sold separately.
