What drives the price
What your servers are actually worth
Most people are surprised in one direction or the other. A four-year-old dual-socket server with a full memory bank can still be worth a meaningful sum; a well-specified chassis stripped of its CPUs and RAM is worth far less than its owner expects.
Value in a used server sits in five places, roughly in this order:
- Processors. Generation matters more than core count. Xeon Scalable and EPYC hold value considerably better than older E5 platforms.
- Memory. Often the single largest component of the figure on high-density builds. DDR4 and DDR5 RDIMM/LRDIMM in volume is always in demand.
- GPUs and accelerators. If there's an H100, A100 or L40S in the chassis, it will likely be worth more than everything around it combined.
- Drives. Enterprise SAS and NVMe carry real value. Removing them before collection is fine — just tell us, so the offer reflects it.
- Condition and volume. Working kit is worth more than faulty, and twenty identical units are worth more per unit than twenty different ones.
What barely matters: cosmetic condition, missing bezels, rack ears, and whether you've kept the original boxes. Don't spend time tidying.

Not just a price
Buyback is the easy half. The data is the other half.
Anyone can quote you a number for a rack of servers. Fewer can prove what happened to the drives afterwards — and that proof is what your auditors will ask you for, not the invoice.
Every drive that leaves your building with us is logged by serial number and sanitised to NIST 800-88, or destroyed where your policy requires. You get a certificate per device and a consolidated report that reconciles against the list you originally sent.

Before you send the list
How do I sell my used servers?
Send a list — email it, or message it over WhatsApp. Models and rough quantities are plenty to start. You'll get a written, itemised valuation back, usually the same day. If you accept, we collect free of charge, audit everything, sanitise the drives and pay by BACS. Your side of it is sending a list and granting access.
How much is my server worth?
It depends mostly on processor generation, memory configuration and whether drives or GPUs are still fitted. We won't pretend a number is possible without seeing a list — but we'll give you a real one within a working day, in writing, with the assumptions stated. Plenty of people use us purely for a benchmark figure and go elsewhere. That's fine.
Do you buy faulty or untested servers?
Yes, and you don't need to test anything first. Faulty units still hold real value for parts — processors, memory and GPUs especially. We test at goods-in and price on the audited result, so guessing conservatively about condition just costs you money.
Should I remove the drives before selling?
Entirely your call. Many customers retain their drives and destroy them in-house, and it doesn't greatly affect the chassis valuation. If you'd rather we handled them, every drive is sanitised to NIST 800-88 and certificated by serial number. Either way, tell us at valuation stage so the offer matches the configuration.
Can you buy leased equipment?
No — and we'll withdraw anything we spot. Equipment under lease, hire purchase or asset finance isn't yours to sell, and we don't knowingly buy it. We can still sanitise the media and hand it back for return to the lessor.
How quickly can you collect?
Typically two to five working days from accepting the offer, and we'll work to a hand-back deadline if you're up against one. Out-of-hours and weekend collections are available for change windows, and we can phase removal across several visits at no extra cost.
