Who we work with
Different organisations decommission for different reasons and under very different constraints. What follows is where we spend most of our time — and what tends to matter in each case.
Data centres & colocation
Hall refreshes, suite hand-backs, customer churn and end-of-contract clear-outs. We work to your access procedures, escort rules and loading bay slots — and we’re used to doing it out of hours.
- Phased removal across change windows
- Full strip-out including containment and cabling
- Dilapidation deadlines met
Hosting & cloud providers
High-volume, rolling refreshes where the same platform is retired dozens of racks at a time. Predictable pricing and a standing collection schedule beat one-off haggling.
- Framework pricing for repeat volume
- Scheduled monthly or quarterly uplifts
- Customer data handled under strict certification
Managed service providers
You’re decommissioning on behalf of your own clients, which means the paperwork has to stand up to their scrutiny, not just yours. Certificates are issued in your client’s name where needed.
- White-label documentation available
- Per-client reporting and reconciliation
- Revenue share on recovered value
Financial services
Where the data governance bar is highest. Expect witnessed destruction, tight chain-of-custody evidence and documentation built for regulatory inspection.
- Physical destruction as default policy
- Witnessed sessions, in person or by video
- Evidence packs for internal audit
NHS & public sector
Special category data, tight procurement rules and a genuine need to show value for money. We’ll complete your supplier questionnaires and work to framework requirements.
- Patient and citizen data destroyed, not just erased
- Supplier onboarding documentation completed
- Recovered value returned to the department
Universities & research
HPC clusters and research compute retire in large, homogeneous batches — often with GPUs that carry serious residual value. Grant conditions on asset disposal are handled.
- HPC and GPU cluster decommissioning
- Research data sanitised to policy
- Disposal records for grant reporting
Enterprise IT
The classic refresh: three to five years in, replaced under warranty expiry, and nobody has budgeted for what happens to the old estate. This is where recovered value makes the most difference.
- Rebate against the refresh budget
- Works alongside your incoming vendor
- Disposal evidence for your audits
ITAD & trade partners
We buy trade-side too. If a lot has landed outside your specialism — enterprise storage, fabric switching, datacentre GPUs — we’ll take it off you at a sensible number.
- Trade pricing on bulk lots
- Fast decisions, fast collection
- Overflow capacity for large projects
Common ground
Whatever the sector, three things matter
Across every one of these, the same concerns come up in the first conversation.
- “Can you prove the data is gone?” — per-drive certificates by serial number, tied to your asset register.
- “Will this disrupt operations?” — we work to your change windows, not ours, including nights and weekends.
- “Is the price fair?” — itemised valuations with the assumptions written down, revised openly if the audit differs.
