The service tag does the work
The seven-character service tag on the front pull-out tab identifies the exact original configuration. If you list nothing else, list these — it removes almost all the guesswork from a valuation.
iDRAC Enterprise licensing
The licence is tied to the motherboard, and an Enterprise-licensed board is worth more than a basic one. Worth noting on your list.
BOSS cards get missed
The M.2 boot module usually holds the hypervisor and never appears in the front drive bays. We sanitise and certificate it separately — see our guide on hidden data in server hardware.
Populated beats stripped
A chassis with CPUs, memory and caddies still fitted is worth substantially more than a bare one. Don’t pull parts out before valuation.
